Kurundwad city is situated on the confluence of the holy rivers Krishna and Panchganga and in the land sanctified by the presence of Lord Dattatreya. The beauty, splendour and specialty of this city is the National Institute of Education’s Sahakarbhushan S. K. Patil College which was established in the year 1985. The sons and daughters of farmers and working class people about 35 villages are studying in our college. Despite the threat of flood every year and without adequate facilities our students achieve brilliant success in the university examinations in the era of competition is our pride. Along with Education, our college is also at the forefront in the field of sports. Our students have performed well at the university, national and international levels in weightlifting, wrestling, volleyball and kho-kho. They bring laurels to the college. Our college imparts knowledge to the students of the surrounding villages.

The professors and administrative staff of our college are highly educated and are skilled in teaching as well as in extra-curricular activities. Along with academic activities the college organizes various programs like seminars, lectures, exhibitions, workshop, etc. Various activities are organized for the students through the NSS and NCC departments in the college. The college library is spacious and there is a separate study room for male and female students. Since the number of girls in college is more than that of boys, so college organises special activities for the girls. The college received continuous encouragement and guidance from the president of the institute, Hon’ble Jayarambapu Patil and Vijaybhau Patil. The college has NAAC ‘B’ Accreditation.
